I'm Natalie, NatNat Your Doula, and Swindon is home.

I support women and families throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the early postnatal period, providing the continuity and personal support that can sometimes be difficult to find within standard maternity care.

You may be planning to give birth at Great Western Hospital. You might be considering a homebirth, birth centre, VBAC or Caesarean. You may have been advised to have an induction. Or you might still have absolutely no idea what your birth will look like.

 

You don't need to be planning a particular kind of birth to work with me.

My role is to get to know you during pregnancy, help you prepare, support your partner and be the familiar person beside you when labour begins.

What does doula support actually look like?

My support is emotional, physical and practical, and it's shaped around you rather than a particular idea of what birth should look like.

​

That might mean:

• Preparing for birth together during pregnancy

• Talking through appointments, questions or worries

• Helping you understand information and the options available to you

• Birth planning and preparing for different ways your birth could unfold

• Calm, continuous support throughout labour

• Comfort measures, movement, breathing and practical reassurance

• Supporting your birth partner so they feel involved and confident too

• Being a familiar person beside you if plans change

• Postnatal support as you recover and adjust to life with your baby

I don't arrive with an agenda for how you should give birth. I arrive ready to support you.

Doula Support Alongside Your NHS Maternity Care

You don't have to choose between NHS maternity care and having a doula.

​

You can have both.

 

Your midwives and doctors provide your clinical maternity care. My role is different.

I'm there specifically for you, providing continuity, emotional and practical support, preparation during pregnancy and continuous support during labour and birth.

For some families, that's exactly why they start looking for a doula. They don't necessarily want different maternity care; they simply want more time, more continuity and someone they know beside them throughout the experience.

Hospital Birth Support in Swindon

If you're planning to have your baby at Great Western

Hospital, I can support you throughout pregnancy and be

with you during labour and birth, subject to the hospital's

current arrangements for birth partners.

We can prepare together beforehand, talk through what

matters to you and discuss how you'd like me to support

both you and your partner.

And if things change during labour, whether that's pain

relief, induction, intervention or a Caesarean — I'm still your doula.

My support isn't dependent on your birth following the original plan.

​

Home Birth Support in Swindon & Wiltshire

Homebirth remains something I have considerable experience supporting, and if that's what you're planning, that experience is absolutely still here.

I can support you alongside NHS or independent midwives, helping with practical preparation, your birth space, comfort measures, the birth pool, your partner and whatever you need from me during labour.

​

And if a planned homebirth transfers to hospital, my support doesn't stop because the location changes.

I go with you wherever possible.

 

VBAC, Induction & Caesarean Support

Not every pregnancy follows a straightforward path towards labour.

You might be preparing for a VBAC, considering an induction, planning a Caesarean or suddenly facing choices you hadn't expected to be making.

​

We can use our time during pregnancy to prepare for what's ahead, talk through your questions and make sure you understand the information you're being given.

​

And if you're already 36 weeks or more and have recently been advised to have an induction, please get in touch. If I have last-minute availability around your induction date, I may still be able to provide doula support during your induction and birth.

 

What if my birth plans change?

Then they change.

You don't have to stick to something simply because it was written on your birth plan.

You might plan a homebirth and decide you'd rather go into hospital. You might plan to avoid an epidural and decide during labour that you want one. You might prepare for spontaneous labour and later choose an induction.

You're allowed to change your mind.

And if your plans change, my support changes with you.

​

Can you support a freebirth?

Yes.

I have experience supporting families choosing freebirth, and my role remains completely non-clinical.

If you're considering an unassisted birth, we can spend time during pregnancy talking through your plans, preparation, what matters to you and what you'd like my support to look like.

Freebirth is something I have experience in,  it isn't a requirement for working with me.

How much does a doula cost in Swindon?

My in-person birth support packages currently start at £700 for dedicated Caesarean support, with my full pregnancy and birth doula packages offering different levels of antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal support.

​

Monthly payment plans are available for my main birth support packages, allowing you to spread the cost during pregnancy.
