Terms and Conditions of Doula Support

By using any services provided by Natalie Abouchai (NatNat Your Doula), including Labour and Birth Support, 1:1 Consultations, Antenatal Support, Postnatal Support, and Overnight Care, you acknowledge and accept the following:

• Non-medical role. I am not a medical professional, and I do not act as a midwife. I do not perform clinical tasks, monitor the baby or mother, give diagnoses, administer medication, or use medical equipment.

• Responsibility for medical care. You are fully responsible for your own health decisions and medical care. Any medical concerns must be discussed with and managed by a qualified healthcare professional.

• Scope of support. My role is to provide emotional, informational, and practical support only. I may share general, evidence-based information for you to consider, but I will not advise you or make decisions for you in any medical capacity.

• Emergencies. In the event of an emergency, it is your responsibility to contact and follow the direction of appropriate medical professionals. I am not responsible for medical outcomes.

• Your rights and choices.

  • You have the legal right to decline maternity care from the NHS or to plan a medically unassisted birth.

  • If you choose not to engage with NHS maternity services, you accept full responsibility for that decision.

  • If you transfer to hospital, you are entitled to NHS care and treatment without refusal.

  • Any decision to have a medically unassisted birth is entirely yours, made freely and without any influence from me.

• Acknowledgement of risks. You understand that pregnancy and birth carry inherent risks, and you accept responsibility for your choices and outcomes. I do not provide legal advice or clinical care.

• Limitation of liability. By engaging my services, you release me (Natalie Abouchai, NatNat Your Doula) from any liability relating to medical care, outcomes of pregnancy or birth, or legal issues.
